International Womens Screening Night
Friday 9th March 7.30pm-10.00pm. This screening will be held at Film Oxford, 54Catherine Street, OX37HT. Showcasing films made by women and also premiereing the short film on Elise Bengamin – current Mayor – made by first time film makers on the Reel Women course.

Dance on Film
Sunday 18th March 4.30pm-6.00pm. Will be held at the Ultimate Picture Palace, Jeune Street, Cowley Road, OX4 1BN. A retrospective of 10 years films made by dance film makers supported by Film Oxford. Some incredible films here!!! Part of Dancin’ Oxford Festival. Film One Night
featuring George Fenton Wednesday 21st March 7.30pm North Wall, Summertown. Top award winning composer (Shadowlands, Cry Freedom) for film and TV will give an illustrated talk on his work

We have no time to waste! Twickenham Film studios has gone into administration and word has it that property developers are moving in. Please sign our petition to help stop the developers in their tracks!! We don’t need more executive homes! Twickenham has been at the forefront of the British film industry for 99 years – let’s help it make to 100 and beyond. Spread the word…. Re-tweet and post on your Facebook. We need to get this out to as many people as possible. Films like The Iron Lady, War Horse, Ghandi, Italian Job, Shirley Valentine, Help, Hard Day’s Night, An American Werewolf in London and many many more have been made here. It’s a National Treasure!!

3D FILM-MAKING COURSE
FREE COURSE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
From script to screen.
The course will consist of a 2 day workshop on 26 & 28 March at Ravensbourne Media Academy, London. In between will be a practice shoot on 27 March with the Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby Team at their training ground in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.This course is being offered for FREE thanks to the support of Screen South, uScreen and Southampton Solent University.
