Period of Internship: 1 month, starting June/July 2011
Hours: full-time
Salary based on an hourly rate of £9.39 per hour
The Publications and Web Office is seeking a highly competent video editor intern, to assist in the production of its web video output, in particular its popular ‘Wall of 100 Faces’ (www.ox.ac.uk/videowall).
The post would suit a recent student graduate or semi-professional. S/he would log interview and b-roll footage, and editshort videos for the Oxford University website under the supervision of theOnline Media Producer. The successful applicant would gain substantial experience in a professional video production environment, working for a globally recognised brand.
The work may also involve assisting with other aspects of video production, including on shoots, though applicants should note this is not be a core part of the role.
Good knowledge of video editing and Mac OS X is essential, preferably Apple Final Cut Pro. The role also requires good organisational and interpersonal skills and good time management, as the job will involve substantial independent work.
Knowledge of the University of Oxford is helpful but not required.
