London, Friday May 18, 2012The first images from the set of THE INVISIBLE WOMAN have been released.

Directed by and starring Ralph Fiennes as Charles Dickens, THE INVISIBLE WOMAN is Fiennes’ second acting/directing project following the award-winning ‘Coriolanus’ and stars Felicity Jones in the title role.

Based on Claire Tomalin’s biography of Nelly Ternan (Felicity Jones), the woman with whom Charles Dickens (Ralph Fiennes) had a secret decade-long relationship, THE INVISIBLE WOMAN also stars Kristin Scott Thomas as Nelly’s mother and Tom Hollander as Wilkie Collins, author and friend of Dickens.

Nelly, a happily married mother and school teacher, is haunted by her past. Her memories, provoked by remorse and guilt, take us back in time to follow the story of her relationship with Charles Dickens with whom she discovered an exciting but fragile complicity.

WestEnd Films is co-financing and handles worldwide sales, with Lionsgate already on board to distribute in the UK, following their relationship with the film-makers on ‘Coriolanus’.
