Directed by Tim Burton and written by Linda Woolderton, Alice in Wonderland is an imaginative new twist on Lewis Carroll’s original beloved novel and sees a 19-year-old Alice (Mia Wasikowska) return to the whimsical world she first entered as a child. With the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp), the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) and the White Rabbit (Michael Sheen), the extraordinary characters all come to life richer and more colourful than ever.
This high-definition screening with live orchestral and choral accompaniment from the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, the Maida Vale Singers and the Cardinal Vaughan School Schola Cantorum, all conducted by John Mauceri, will bring the record-breaking film to life in an incredible feast for the eyes, ears and heart, captivating an audience of all ages.
Following a popular format that has attracted tens of thousands to the Hall to see the likes of The Godfather, Star Trek and West Side Story performed live in concert, the enchanting Ratatouille in Concertnow presents the perfect opportunity to introduce children to the power of a live orchestra for the first time, all within the spectacular surroundings of London’s most iconic venue.
