Arachnophobia is getting a remake
Back in 1990, the film Arachnophobia earned good reviews, but took a hit for being a creepy film about spiders. The theory being that the last people who would pay to see a film about a fear of spiders were the people it was sort of aimed at. As such, the movie did okay, but didn’t set the world alight.
However, nearly 30 years on, the film is the latest candidate for a big screen remake. And James Wan, of The Conjuring vintage, is set to be overseeing the new project, via his Atomic Monster company. Amblin, the original production company, are also involved.
No writer or director is thus far attached to the project, that Wan is likely to produce and oversee.
As we hear more, we’ll let you know. Might yet be a little way off, this one…
