The Upside is yet another “based on a true–life story” film and also a remake of a French movie Intouchables (2011), which drew on the same material. It is about the relationship between two very different men.
This second animation film from the versatile Wes Anderson, building on his experience when making “The Fantastic Mr Fox”, is much more ambitious.
Richard Linklater’s LAST FLAG FLYING will open in the UK and Ireland on 26 January 2018, through Curzon Artificial Eye and Amazon Studios. The film received its world premiere as the opening night of New York Film Festival, followed shortly afterwards by a European premiere at the BFI London Film Festival.
The story is hardly original, in fact it’s hard to differentiate from the last film, focusing on a How to Train Your Dragon 2 stealing thread which finds Po (Jack Black) reunited with his long-lost father, Li (Bryan Cranston).
