London Film Festival memories
As the Festival is fast approaching its 50th anniversary edition, the team at the bfi are busy organising a range of special events to commemorate this momentous birthday. One of these projects is a book of audience recollections spanning the Festival's 50 years, and this is where they need your help.
They’re looking for potent memories, inspiring moments, awkward encounters, anecdotes to move and entertain. Was your life changed by a particular screening? How important has the Festival been to you? Have you been just once or is it a fixture in your calendar? Write to the bfi now, in 500 words or less, describing the movies, shakers, movements and moments that have marked and made your Festival filmgoing life.
The best entries will be published in this unique collection, and selected entrants will be entered into a draw to win a pair of tickets to this year's Opening Night Gala.
Memories are long but time is short. The closing date for submissions is May 31st. Please email festival.memories@bfi.org.uk
