LONDON INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL FILM FESTIVAL: KICKS N FLICKS

The first London International Football Film Festival, Kicks n Flicks (www.kicksnflicks.co.uk) will take place at Curzon Soho, London from 2nd-8th June 2006.

The festival will feature some of the best football based feature films documentaries and TV programmes ever made including The Arsenal Stadium Mystery, The Cup and The Other Final.

Additionally Kicks n Flicks and Konami will host a unique Pro Evolution Soccer 5 competition with the quarter-final to the final stages being played on one of the big screens at Curzon Soho.

The festival will also be screening the five greatest football matches of all time. The top 5 classic matches will be voted by members of the public.

The idea for the festival came from Matthew Couper who is also involved in producing the event with Curzon Soho. Matthew says "I want to produce a event that captures the emotions surrounding football and links into the summer's football frenzy."

Rob Kenny, the General Manager Curzon Soho adds, "As we prepare for football fever to sweep across the nation Curzon Soho is pleased to host Kicks n Flicks and present a unique season of screenings and events which celebrate and explore the cultural, social and global significance of the beautiful game on the big screen."
