RUSHES SOHO SHORTS FESTIVAL 2006
***NEXT WEEK***
Saturday 29th July – Friday 4th August
The Rushes Soho Shorts Festival is once again set to be a dazzling showcase of UK film talent.
Short films by both acclaimed directors and new talent will grace screens nationwide as the week long festival opens this Saturday. VUE CINEMAS will partner the festival for a second time this year with screenings held across the UK in Shepherds Bush, Edinburgh, Leeds, Birmingham and Cambridge as well as in the heart of the capital’s film and television quarter; Soho.
All of the 140 screenings are FREE and will be held in a variety of exciting venues, some of which are normally closed to the public, including swanky private members bars Soho House and The Hospital. Other venues consist of cinemas, cafes, bars and screening rooms, giving the festival a uniquely intimate feel.
Not only does the Festival offer original viewing in distinctive settings, but also the chance to see many high profile actors starring in innovative films. Some exceptional films to watch out for include The Technical Hitch featuring the voice of Robert Lindsay; Dita Von Teese starring Dita herself; Old Dog starring David Soul and Sean Brosnan, as well many other films featuring celebrated actors such as Michael Sheen, Piper Perabo, Derek Jacobi, Paul Kaye and James Fox.
