Anthony Minghella to launch the new Bournemouth Screen Academy

Bournemouth Screen Academy, the new joint venture between Bournemouth University’s Media School and the Arts Institute of Bournemouth, is staging its official launch between 15 – 17 March 2006. The Academy will use the launch to showcase work produced by students of its two institutions, and to stage masterclasses by industry professionals. In addition, key screen industry visitors will take part in the launch programme.

The highlight of the event will be a clips-based interview with Anthony Minghella on 17 March 2006, which will officially launch the Academy. Anthony will talk about his career to date, with reflections on The English Patient, Cold Mountain, The Talented Mr Ripley and Truly Madly Deeply, and will look forward to the release of his new film Breaking and Entering. There will be also be some time for questions to Anthony from the audience. More details about this event and how to get tickets will follow on the south west screen website.
