Kent Screen is the newly formed focal point for film and digital media activity throughout the county. It is Kent 's local delivery partner to Screen South, the film agency for the region
Working in step with Screen South and the county's other film/media agencies and providers, Kent Screen offers advice, guidance and assessment, script to screen workshops and training events, networking opportunities, equipment and facilities, providing relevant opportunities to engage in a range of indie, professional and community productions and combined arts practice projects.
Kent Screen makes provision for those who are starting out (pre/entry level) or starting over in the film/media community. Whether a newcomer or professional we seek to support and promote you and your projects.
Kent Screen is managed by Chris Knowles who has 15 years experience in feature film production, followed by 15 years in the cinema and film museum/archive sector and as a film/media lecturer and adviser, as well as being active in independent film making.
As a mature media community it is advantageous to acknowledge the history, understand the culture and integrate the heritage to create a diverse and rich digital community for the future, where craft complements innovation, commerce embraces culture, and talent of whatever background can spring from opportunity.
