The 63rd BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express is thrilled to announce that this year’s Opening Night gala will be THE PERSONAL HISTORY OF DAVID COPPERFIELD, directed by the multi-award-winning writer, filmmaker and broadcaster Armando Iannucci
Principal photography commences today on THE PERSONAL HISTORY OF DAVID COPPERFIELD, an adaptation of the Dickens classic directed by award winning filmmaker Armando Iannucci (The Death of Stalin).
The title of the film tells you the genre immediately – or does it? These are ghost stories certainly but ones which take you in an unexpected direction.
Based on Andy Nyman and Jeremy Dyson’s original Olivier nominated stage production, the same team have co-written and directed this adaptation for the big screen.
