It would appear from this film that director Jason Connery has inherited his father Sean’s passion for golf and Scottish heroes. This is the story of the Scottish Morris family, father and son, who lived in the Victorian era and created the modern game of golf.
Mullan plays Hector, a homeless man in Glasgow, who lives on the motorways, keeping himself fed and clean via the motorway cafes and their toilets. He is embarking on his annual pilgrimage to London where a seasonal welcome awaits him at the homeless shelter
Life without a home isn’t easy but Hector is resilient, accepting of people, and life, as they come. He meets with friendship and kindness, disappointment and cruelty, discomfort and joy.
